The PowerWave Bus System™ End Feed


1Standard End Feed – The PowerWave Bus System End Feed is made up of two primary components, the enclosure and busrail. It receives and then supplies the structured busrail with power. Power is supplied to the End Feed via cable or cable/conduit typically from sub-feed breakers.


2End Feed with Integrated Monitoring – End Feeds that have our optional Branch Circuit Monitoring System (BCMS) have an additional enclosure that house circuit boards associated with collecting power points from either the individual circuits, power being utilized by the entire busrail or both.

1The Busrail – Aluminum anodizing protects the assembly, improves thermal properties, and incorporates the ToughRail Technology™ allowing various support methods, site specific labeling and system communication links, all in the same rail housing.


2The Enclosure – Right sized to make connections easy and secure. Conduit fittings can be attached through the top, sides or rear.


3Integrated Communications Channel – Monitor and manage power at the branch circuit for effective power utilization.


4Isolated Ground Channel – An isolated ground is a built-in option on all bus rail sizes..

1Neutral Termination Pad – Rated to 150% making the PowerWave Bus System™ robust.


2A, B and C Phase Termination Pads – Terminations accept a wide variety of lugs. Convenient torque values label affixed to each end feed cover for easy serviceability.


3Grounding Lug – The National Electrical Code® requires the metal enclosure of any busway run to be grounded back at the service
entrance equipment. PowerWave Bus System™ meets this requirement. The busway housing is an integral ground. Under more severe industrial applications a heavier ground may be required. The ground is rated at a minimum of 50% of the ampacity of the phase bus bars.


4Glastic Insulation Plate – Glastic, a high performance electrical insulator, is used to dissipate heat and provide short circuit ratings of up to 42 KAIC.
